May / June is shopping, shopping, shopping season and this issue showcases the many products that are made right here in the Turks & Caicos. In addition to elegant native hand woven baskets and other straw work there are many other decorative, useful and tasty items from which to choose.

Food and wine critic, gourmet Mandy Rostance-Wolf, reviews island favourite Baci Ristorante and interviews another Great Chef of Provo – Coyaba’s Paul Newman. We also introduce Ziggy’s fanciful column ‘Eating with Ziggy’ as yet another aide to dining choices in Where When How.

Our featured excursion is a cruise aboard Sail Provo’s 52-foot sailing catamaran ARIELLE. Sun, wind, water and perfect blue skies, with a crew of new friends – bliss. You will also discover which fish are biting, and where to catch them, and a host of other watersports that will keep the entire family active and entertained.

‘Beyond Providenciales’ features South Caicos which is finally beginning to blossom. East Bay Resort opens in early winter 2013. South is a watersports, fishing and diving haven. Get there by TCI Ferry or fly. In other departments Kim Mortimer discovers the Yellow Bellied Sapsucker in her yard and Jayne Baker exposes undersea freeloaders.

The March / April issue is all about food – well, almost all. There are so many things to amuse and engage our visitors to the Turks and Caicos, but with more than 100 restaurants on Providenciales alone, it’s simply impossible NOT to focus on the epicurean side of the islands, now and again.

In addition to our food and wine critic, gourmet Mandy Rostance-Wolf’s cover story on all things dining, she has also reviewed the incomparable Parallel23 at the stately Regent Palms, and Grace’s Cottage at famous Point Grace.

Our featured excursion involves a canter down Long Bay Beach with Provo Ponies. You will also discover which fish are biting in our crystal waters, and where to catch them and a host of other watersports that will keep the entire family active and entertained.

‘Beyond Providenciales’ features North Caicos. Day trip or spend longer. We’ll tell you why. There is so much to do on this ‘sister island’ and the great charm and welcoming smiles of its inhabitants will stay with you forever. Also learn about the Clapper Rail from Kim Mortimer and Jayne Baker’s Blenny Buddies. Really.
